Conductor: Sophia Werden Abrams (2021 - Present)
Sophia loves helping people find their voice. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in piano performance from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and it is through this work that she developed an interest in the human voice and all it can do. Before finding her calling in speech-language pathology, Sophia worked with singers from age 5-95, including a choir for individuals with aphasia. In 2020, Sophia completed a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at McMaster University.
Founder and Conductor: Zachary Levine (Beginning - 2021):
Zachary founded the Hamilton Parkinson's Choru after singing in choirs for eleven years - first as a Soprano, then an Alto, Tenor, and now finally a low Bass. Zachary has a passion for choral music, a love for teaching, and hopes to make the world a better place
Piano Accompanist: Cindy Cui (Beginning - 2021)
Cindy Cui is thrilled to play piano for the Hamilton Parkinson's Chorus. She loves music and enjoys giving back to the Hamilton community.
Guitar Accompanist and Administration: Liam Cresswell (Beginning - 2021)
Liam has extensive experience playing guitar for bands in his hometown, Ajax, Ontario. He hopes to better the lives of people with Parkinson's Disease through his involvement with the Hamilton Parkinson's Chorus.
